My wife and I are members of the Middlesex Woodturner’s Association (MWA) which is affiliated to the Association of Woodturner’s of Great Britain.

The members meet monthly (2nd Thursday of each month) and visitors are most welcome to attend these club evenings in Ruislip Middlesex, why not come along as a visitor and join us for an evening or two with no obligation. At most monthly meetings we have a guest professional turner who will demonstrate his or her individual skills. We are very fortunate to have some expert professional turners in MWA - Gary Rance who is one of the fastest and most competent turners you will find anywhere. If you get the chance to attend one of Gary's demonstrations you will learn a lot about technique and how to use your spindle gouges and skew chisels correctly. Then there is our President Stuart King who I am sure needs no introduction, Stuart will always find something new to show you at his demonstrations and could entertain you for weeks not hours with his tales and wood turning videos from his world wide travels. So come along you may just enjoy yourself so much that you will want to become a member, who knows given a few years you could be proficient enough to pass on some of your own acquired skills yourself !
